Ktown213:
Hi Denis, please give our viewers your 30-second intro!
Denis Kang: I've been fighting for almost 10 years now and I'm
29 years old. This sport is my passion and I am so happy to be living my
dream. I am eager to meet more Koreans in the US.
Ktown213: How long have you been fighting and training
professionally? How did it all start for you?
Denis Kang: It started when I was in high school back in 95. I
saw a video of the UFC and I was hooked. I first started training in Hapkido
and then on to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and eventually added boxing and
kickboxing.
Ktown213: How important is your Korean heritage?
Denis Kang: It' s huge part of who I am. Since I can remember I
have been aware of my roots. My father always instilled a deep sense of
pride. It's an honor now to represent Korea in international competitions.
Ktown213: You have a big fight coming up on November 12th,
Pride FC's Bushido Survival Finals to fight Akihiro Gono. How well have you
been preparing for your fight?
Denis Kang: I always prepare well for my fights. The training
is extremely grueling and there are times where I don't like it haha.
Ktown213: What recommendations do you have for your fans
wanting to get into the sport?
Denis Kang: Watch and learn with an open mind. Seek a good
teacher and discipline yourself to train with perseverance.
Ktown213: What are you goals after the fight? Is there anyone
in FC you would like to face?
Denis Kang: I haven't even thought that far ahead to be honest.
I always view my next fight as the last event of my life. All my focus is on
that night.
Ktown213: What has been your most memorable fight and why?
Denis Kang: Probably my fight against Murillo Ninja Rua last
June. I was expecting a 15 minute war but I knocked him out in 15 seconds!

Ktown213: Have you ever been to
Ktown LA?
Denis Kang: I've always wanted to go to LA and have a heard a
lot about Korea town there. It's definitely on my "to do" list.
Ktown213: Thank you Denis, we know you're training hard in Japan,
and we appreciate you taking the time to do this interview.
Denis Kang: No problem, thank you!
